I was right to look forward to Evie’s swimming lesson… her Grandma and Auntie came along to watch. It was hilarious! Every time Evie spotted them on the side of the pool she squealed and splashed. I was soaked - and couldn’t stop laughing. There’s nothing like a good laugh to make you feel good.

Evie’s swimming classes are on thursday mornings, and she LOVES it - so I love it. I love the focused time with her, and watching her splash and play in the water. Every week she seems to have a new trick and I always find myself coming away smiling. The only trick is getting her changed…

I’m having one of those days where I just NEED to have a coffee to get myself moving. It can be so hard to have a decent amount to eat when you have a child (I don’t know how you eat at all when you have more than one!). Ooooh - that can’t be a healthy combination - not much food + some coffee. I’ll have to work on that… no wonder I’m tired!

So, I was at the supermarket today… and to my surprise and delight I discovered that the baby food brand I like to use has been bumped up the shelving ranking!

In case you missed it, I wrote a little while ago about my disappointment that the only brand of baby food I like (I make most of my own baby food) was allocated to one little row at the bottom of the baby food isle.

I’m writing this blog entry way too late at night. I should go to bed and get some decent sleep for another day with an energetic young child. But… here I am blogging… and it’s sooooo comfy on the couch… hmmm.

My sister’s baby is due in a few weeks… well, 6 weeks. Feels so close though! I’m really excited to meet this new little person, and I can see my sister is keen to have the weight of the baby off her insides!

Evie won’t be the little baby of the family any more! That will be very strange. I’m interested to see how she responds to meeting the little baby too. She’s started saying "bay-beeee", ...
